Curfewexora works from 10 Moody Street in Congleton. The overnight desk, the distribution list and the morning note are made in the same room.

How we started

The Curfewexora story

Most media-monitoring products were built for London comms teams. They return a wall of keyword hits. Nobody on a council communications desk has time to read 400 alerts before the 8am meeting.

We formed Curfewexora to do the reading. A journalist opens the paper, judges the prominence, and writes a note. The house sits in Congleton because that is where the people who founded it already lived — and because the Cheshire weeklies are as much our business as the London dailies.

How the house is staffed

Readers, writers, a distribution editor, and correspondents who file. No account managers sitting between you and the desk.

Overnight readers

The 05:00 shift. Print, broadcast and digital. They build the clip file that everything else is written from.

Brief writers

One writer and one editor on each morning note. They are the same people you email when a line looks wrong.

Correspondents

London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast. They file colour, they do not rewrite the PA.
